"All of the races so far this year have been literally bumper to bumper from green light to the chequered flag so it's hard to predict how the rest of the year will go," he added.

His latest wins came at a cost, though, as Scott explained: "The car suffered some minor bodywork damage and I managed to fracture my fuel tank. But it got me home O.K!" he added.

Last year's title cost Scott something in the region of £3,000, but it would have been more had he not done a lot of the work on the car himself.
